Pyxis' Research
Pyxis O.S. operates on research paying special attention to datamining and bioinformatic fields. "Silico Biology" produces a huge amount of datas. Those datas should be coordinated. Data coordination activity is the main research activity of Pyxis O.S. It is developing a semantic data base model apt to match biological information.
Pyxis O. S. offers the following Bioinformatic services:
- DNA and protein sequence analysis
- Multiple alignments
- Phylogenetic analysis
- Construction of phylogenetic tree in silico expression profiling
- Biological network analysis
- Data Mining for Information extraction
Pyxis O.S. has worked on phylogenetic analysis for GRUMA: a worldwide maize flour leader,
which works mainly in United States, Mexico, Latin America and Europe.
Pyxis O.S. has
- Took part on BioMonterrey 2006 (Monterrey, Mexico);
- Built phylogenetic analysis;
- Developed a part of Dedalo: a software solution apt to network people using semantic and ontological processes.
Antonella Rinaldi, CEO of Pyxis O. S, worked on:
- Rinaldi A. et al , “Genomics, Evolution and Expression of TBPL2, a member of the TBP family” in DNA and Cell Biology volume 26, n.6, 2007.
- Mapping twenty nucleotide sequences [National Center for Biotechnology Information]
